The Cuba Tour ★ 16 days An exclusive motorcycle dream tour to Fidel Castro’s Cuba! This tour can only be booked by groups of min. 8 to max. 12 riders. Sixteen days of sun, summer, cigars and salsa . During this motorcycle tour we will visit the most distant regions of Cuba and meet with the Cuban hospitality. We are going to explore the exciting parts of Havana, see the monument to Che Guevara, swim with dolphins and dive at coral reefs. We will dine in private Paladars and ride our bikes together with the Cuban “Harlistas” We start off in Havana, and during our stay we visit the city of Viñales in the Pinar del Rio province, Cien- fuegos, Playa Largo and Bahia de Cochinos (the Bay of Pigs), Trinidad and Santa Clara. We will be staying at three- and four-star hotels. At all hotels, breakfast is included, and one hotel is “all inclusive”. We have also included most lunches and all fee to scheduled Museums and national parks. Price 16 days tour: Rider: EURO 4.790 Pillion: EURO 3.060 The Cuba Tour ★ 16 days Day 1. La Havana. Arrival in the capital of the republic of Cuba, Havana. Havana is one of the most beautiful colonial towns in all of Latin America, with fantastic architecture and full of vivacity and colours in the streets that are inhabited by one of the most friendly and warm peoples in the world. We will enjoy a welcome drink and hold a brief information meeting. Day 2. La Havana. Round trip in the city by bus and on foot – and, if time allows it, we will go to the beach in the afternoon. We will visit the beautifully renovated city centre, the well-off district Miramar, the modern quarter Vedado and the impressive fortresses El Morro and La Cabaña de San Juan. Day 3. La Havana – Suburbs of Havana – La Havana. We will pick up our motorcycles and then go for a short ride to the home of the American author and Nobel prize winner Ernest Hemingway, and to the port of Cojímar where he used to go ﬁshing. Day 4. La Havana – Viñales. Departure for the fantastic natural resort Viñales. We will halt in the nature park Las Terazzas, take a swim in the river and have lunch at Baños de San Juan before we drive to our hotel that has a fantastic view of the Viñales valley. Day 5. Viñales and surroundings. We will go for a ride in the very beautiful mountain area Viñales. We will visit the stalactite cave Cueva del Indio and sail on an underground river, visit an enormous painting on a rock wall, Muralla de la Prehistoria, and have lunch at a tobacco plantation where we will hear about growing of tobacco and drying of the leaves. After lunch we will go for a ride in the mountains. Day 6. Viñales – Santa Clara. Santa Clara, one of the most important town’s during the revolution is our goal for this day. The mausoleum and statue of Ché Guevara will be visited during the day. The Cuba Tour ★ 16 days Day 7. Santa Clara - Trinidad via Topes de Collantes. Our day starts with a visit to the Che Guevara monument. The revolutionary hero Ché Guevara captured Santa Clara during the Christmas of 1958 and thus dealt the deathblow to the dictatorship of Batista – con- sequently he was buried in an enormous monument where you also will ﬁnd and can visit the museum that commemorates the battle for Santa Clara. We will have lunch with the local Harley club. After lunch we will go by the fantastic mountain road across the Escambray mountains and the nature park Topes de Collantes to the colonial town Trinidad where we will be staying at an all-inclusive hotel on the Ancón beach. Depending on the weather, we will have the option to take the scenic road to Trinidad via Sancti Spiritus. Day 8. Trinidad. Relaxation on the beach in Trinidad, with the opportunity to go diving or snorkeling, and a ride in the area. Day 9. Trinidad – Valle de los Ingenios – Trinidad. Round trip in Trinidad. With the bumpy cobblestones and the old town houses it is like travelling several hundred years back in time. We will visit the colonial museum that gives a good impression of the wealth of the town during the colonial period – wealth that was based on sugar and slavery. After lunch we will go to the sugar cane valley Valle de los Ingenios and visit an old stately home. Day 10. Trinidad. There are two options: - A ride in the mountains to the nature park Topes de Collantes where we will go bathing in a waterfall. - A trip by sailboat to a coral island inhabited by iguanas, snorkelling at a coral reef and shellﬁsh-lunch on the island. Day 11. Trinidad – Cienfuegos. Departure for Rancho Luna where we will attend a dolphin show – against an extra charge you can swim with the dolphins which is a fantastic experience. After that we will go to Cienfuegos, a town founded by the French, where we will visit the beautiful square Parque Martí with the old theatre Tomás Terrý. The Cuba Tour ★ 16 days Day 12. Cienfuegos and suburbs. Your day in Cienfuegos is on your own! Discover the beauty of the city, the squares and the surroundings. Our guide will be available for suggestions and ride outs. Day 13. Cienfuegos – La Havana. Our ﬁrst stop will be Playa Girón, the Bay of Pigs, where Cuban exiles and the USA attempted unsuccess- fully to invade Cuba and overthrow Fidel Castro in 1961. From here, we will go on to a crocodile farm by the swamps of the Zapata peninsula. We will be back in Havana late in the afternoon. Day 14. La Havana. Relaxation in Havana, ”mini rally” with motorcycles, vintage cars and American cars from the ﬁfties. We will also visit Hotel Lincoln where the ﬁve-time Formula 1 world champion Juan Manuel Fangio was ab- ducted by young revolutionaries. In the evening, we will have a farewell party at a restaurant in the suburb Miramar. Day 15. La Havana. Our day starts with return of our bikes to the MC-Travel garage. After this you can enjoy the rest of the day in Havana. Take a stroll down Obispo to the old City of Havana and enjoy the cuban lifestyle. Day 16. La Havana.
