                                                                                                                            of command, first becoming crew com-
                                                                                                                            mander, then shift officer, and finally—
                                                                                                                            after finishing the officer's course with
                                                                                                                            honors—assistant head of operations,
                                                                                                                            training, and public relations. For the
                                                                                                      past two years Chezi has been a member of the Bush and
                                                                                                      Forests Fires Committee and has regularly represented the
                                                                                                      Foreign Minister in the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership
                                                                                                      (EUROMED). Chezi also serves on the committee that for-
                                                                                                      mulates rules for coping with high rise fires, and chairs the
                                                                                                      committee that formulates rules for training and fire educa-
                                                                                                      tion in Israel’s Fire and Rescue Services.
