The Program
Guilford County Schools (GCS) implemented its Early
College Academy program at Dudley High School in
August of 2002 to allow students an opportunity to pur-
sue college credit while in high school. Through partner-
ships with local institutions of higher education such as
Bennett College for Women, Greensboro College,
Early College
Guilford Technical Community College, North Carolina
A&T State University and the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro, the program has since expanded
to Andrews High School.
