On April 30, 2010 Sycamore police officers were called to a local pharmacy because
a woman had presented a prescription which appeared to have been altered.
A subsequent investigation revealed the quantity on the prescription for Vicoden had
been altered to increase the quantity from 15 to 115
Dawn D. Monas, age 29, of DeKalb, was charged on May 1, 2010 with Forgery, class
3 felony. She was also cited for driving on a suspended driver’s license, class A
Class 3 felonies are punishable by 2 to 5 years on prison and fines up to $25,000.
