Below are the criteria which are necessary for both a successful classroom
experience as well as full credit for the quarterly class participation grade.
□ 1. Be on time for class and seated when bell rings.
(Important information is given in the very beginning of class –
Don’t miss it!)
□ 2. Have all materials that are needed for class with you when
you arrive (i.e.: text, notebook, homework, pens etc.)
□ 3. Be prepared when teacher calls upon you. (i.e. – reviewing
homework assignments – only work on World History work in
□ 4. Ask questions! Both to the teacher and to other students
(i.e. after a class presentation by a student)
□ 5. Offer personal experiences, reflective thoughts and other
feedback that is positive to the learning situation.
□ 6. Be respectful of both teachers and fellow students in the
□ 7. When absent, approach teacher to set up a time for
obtaining and completing missed class work and tests.
□ 8. Be present every day! Keep absences to a minimum.
□ 9. Take pride in your work- complete all assignments (both
small and large) with thorough care and effort.
□ 10. Listen to others and be respectful of other points of view
other than your own.
