The only theatre in Prague demonstrating the technique of black light theatre after each performance – with active
participation from the audience.
 1 – 31. Life Is Life – one ordinary day, and perhaps a bit of ordinary life. The main character will lead you through
the day using a unique combination of black light and motion theatre. Starring: M. Merunka/M. Pánek/L. Vydrţal
and K. Urbanová/K. Ţebrová/J. Paňková. Admission: CZK 460 – 8 p.m.

Image Theatre combines black theatre, pantomime and modern dance, drawing from the expressive traditions of
these genres.
 1 – 7. Clip Studio – lightly ironic view of filmmaking and the people behind, and in front of the camera. A crazy
film crew dealing with difficulties while filming and how their lives are affected. Original music, dance and black
light theatre magic underline this humorous story about filming a "horror" movie – 8 p.m.
 8 – 14. Afrikania – a small hotel revealing the charm of the undiscovered – yet known – world. A mail man looking
for an addressee unintentionally assumes a different role. A comedy about a married couple on vacation with the
added variety of animal species. A fascinating professional motion performance with spectacular black-light images
– 8 p.m.
15 – 21. Cabinet - nonverbal performance set in the unique Cabinet of Curiosities and Miracles. You will witness
the demonstration of unbelievable and brilliant inventions which nearly changed the world – 8 p.m.
22 – 30. Black Box – modern dance supported by a more thorough black-light theatre technique, enabling the
dancers and objects to levitate, rotate and move around in manner which is not consistent with the laws of gravity.
Individual performances are inspired by the contemporary world, as well as dreams, transformed into moving
images. Nonverbal scenes with black light theatre reflecting detective, crime and action stories – 8 p.m.

accompanied by Petr Hapka’s music, with stage design by Emma Srncova. The performance utilizes classical
methods of black light theatre and Laterna Magika, film projection and unique special effects. Over 6,000

performances shown in the 1990s (e.g. Ahasver, Timewalker, The Prague Walker). These were extensively adapted
for Laterna Magika now featuring new music, choreography, stage design and film clips. Choreography: P. Zuska;
