Richard Schmidt has more than 20 years of experience working in emerging markets. Mr.
Schmidt was a Managing Director of JPMorgan Asset Management, where he ran
JPMorgan's New York based Emerging Markets Equity investment management group.
From 2002 he managed over $2 billion in institutional, foundation and mutual fund
assets. Prior to moving to New York City, Mr. Schmidt was based in London where he
managed Latin American and Global Emerging market money. From 1986 to 2000, Mr.
Schmidt lived in Hong Kong where he managed regional and country mandates for
Jardine Fleming Asset Management. He began his career at Winfull Laing and
Cruickshank (now CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets) as a research analyst. Mr. Schmidt
received a BSFS from Georgetown University and is a CFA Charterholder.
