class has been out training - a reminder to
ensure your child comes to school in appropriate
footwear for this.
Famine Camp
We are looking forward to this annual event,
which is always well supported by North Loburn
School. As you will have read from the notice that
went home last week, there is more structure to
the Famine camp this year. We want the children
to be fully aware of the purpose of this camp, and
the activities we have planned will reflect this.
A reminder to read the notice carefully, get your
children to wrap up warm, encourage them to
leave the electronic gadgetry at home, and we
will all look forward to the shared lunch on Friday!
Music Lessons
These start next week. If your child is learning an
instrument, they will have received a notice last
week advising times. Please ensure your
instruments are purchased and ready to go next
week!
First Aid Training
All North Loburn Staff hold a current first aid
certificate, which is refreshed every two years.
This term a group of staff are having a refresher
course at school over two evenings. A minimum
of ten are required to ensure the training can be
done on site. If there are any parents out there
needing a refresher course for their certificate,
and would like !to join us, please get in touch
with Diane at the office.
Koffee Kart
Every Tuesday at about 1pm Margot brings her
Koffee Kart up to the school staff car park.
She sells the full range of coffees, chai lattes,
mochas, etc. So if your driving past and fancy a
treat you are most welcome to call by and make
a purchase. (Note due to the QEII trip she will not
be at the school this Tuesday).
BOT Elections
Congratulations to our new Board. At the close
of nominations, last Friday, as there was only five
parent nominations received, I hereby declare

Reminders
Bring togs, towel, suitable school uniform for gym and plenty to eat and drink. Please be at school by
8.55 a.m. We will meet in the hall at 9.00 a.m. and talk to pupils beforehand. From there we will leave
to go to the gym. We will park outside the gym and meet on the grassy area beside the gym before
proceeding to the two different venues. Some parents are taking junior and senior pupils so all pupils
and parents/ teachers will meet at the end outside the gym and leave from there at approximately
1.40pm.
**It is important that all parents who said they were able to supervise bring their togs. If this is done our
ratios of swimmers/ pupils will be good for seniors and juniors.
