New Kellogg's Snack Bar Offers Healthy Option Without Sacrificing Taste

BATTLE CREEK, Mich., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- When chocolate cravings hit, adults no longer have to
worry about giving in and feeling guilty thanks to the new Kellogg's Krave snack bars. The wholesome snack bars
offer adults a nutritious and great tasting alternative to chocolate candy bars.
With nearly half the fat of leading candy bars, as well as being a good source of protein and calcium, Kellogg's Krave
snack bars help satisfy chocolate cravings and give bodies a boost. Krave snack bars contain 11 essential vitamins
and minerals and 50 percent of daily value of anti-oxidants, vitamins A, C and E, and have nearly as much calcium as
a cup of low fat cottage cheese. Calcium plays an important role in adult health as it helps in preventing osteoporosis.

According to recent Kellogg's research(i), 47 percent of women named chocolate as the food they crave most and 6
out of 10 described chocolate as a food that they "love." Additionally, a similar study(ii) found that 75 percent of
cravings could be satisfied by chocolate alone, and that 43 percent manage their cravings by eating just a little bit of
chocolate. Finally, women listed weight gain (83 percent) and health (42 percent) as the top reasons for worrying
about eating chocolate.
Now available nationwide, Kellogg's Krave snack bars can be found in the granola/cereal bar section of major
supermarkets and grocery stores in two flavors -- Chocolate Delight and Chocolate Peanut. The suggested retail price
for a six-count box is $2.99.
The two Krave flavors offer customers variety. Chocolate delight features whipped chocolate blended with toasted
grains and toffee bits in a chocolate coating, while chocolate peanut flavor includes chewy nougat with crispy rice,
caramel and chopped peanuts in a chocolate coating.
