					  Bullivant Houser Bailey Announces the Appointment of Three New Shareholders

Seattle, WA (January 7, 2009) – Bullivant Houser Bailey PC, a leading West Coast business and
complex litigation law firm, is pleased to announce Toni Anders, Abby Wool Landon and Todd Norris
have been appointed to Shareholder, effective January 2, 2009. Resident in the Firm’s Portland, Seattle
and San Francisco offices, Anders, Landon and Norris have been recognized for their superior level of
demonstrated skill and professionalism in their respective areas of practice, and will play an integral new
role in leading the Firm forward in 2009.

A member of the Seattle office since 2003, Anders is a trial attorney with a primary practice focused on
insurance coverage, particularly third party insurance coverage and defense, including bad faith litigation
and SIU/Fraud counseling and advice and commercial litigation. In addition, she has significant experience
in employment counseling litigation and intellectual property matters. Anders is also a member of the
firm’s recently launched Arts, Entertainment and Sports group, and represents writers and music industry
clients in contract negotiations and general business affairs. Outside of the Firm, she is an active member
of local and national bar associations and professional organizations, serves on the King County Bar
Association’s Committee for Ethnic Diversity in the Legal Profession, and is a vice-chair of the ABA Tort
Trial and Insurance Practice Section’s Property Insurance Law Committee. She received her
undergraduate degree in Political Science and English from Grambling State University and her J.D. from
the Seattle University School of Law.

Landon, a member of the Firm’s Portland office, has been in practice for seventeen years, ten of which she
individually founded and owned her own law firm. She has an extensive background in the areas of estate
planning, including wills and trusts, complex business transactions, and business succession. Her in depth
knowledge and work in this area has also positioned her as a valuable resource to assist Northwest Tribes on
compliance issues with AIPRA (American Indian Probate Reform Act). Outside of her legal practice, Landon
serves as a Board Member for the Better World Club. In addition, she is involved with the Portland
Leadership Council for the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF), where she has presented at CLE
seminars throughout the state on their behalf, speaking on asset protection and estate planning for families
in conflict. She received her undergraduate degree from Simmons College, and studied law at the
Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College.

Norris is an experienced litigator in the Firm’s San Francisco office. He specializes in complex commercial
litigation, franchise disputes and intellectual property claims, including trademark, copyright, trade secret,
and patent disputes. Throughout his career, he has litigated a variety of commercial disputes in various
industries, including software, retail, consumer goods, appliances, medical devices, long-term care,
construction, manufacturing, waste removal and transportation. In addition, Norris is an active member of
the International Trademark Association. He received his B.A. in English and Philosophy from Cornell
College and his J.D. from the University of Minnesota School of Law.
