Peat Bog Restoration
Restoration of peat bogs is an integral part of the operation at Berger Peat Moss. For years the Berger team in conjunction with other organizations has played a major role in the restoration of peat bogs in Quebec and New Brunswick
(Eng. Version 01-2009)
The goal of restoration is to re-establish the ecology of the wetland after harvesting and provide the environment that will lead to a functional peat accumulating ecosystem as it was before harvesting. This is accomplished in a matter of a few years by using a modern ecological approach instituted and funded by Berger
