      PREAMBLE
This policy is the agreement for personal lines insurance between the Regent Insurance Company Limited
("we, us, our") and the Insured ("you/your") named in the schedule which forms part of this policy, on
the basis that your proposal and declaration whether written or verbal, also forms part of this policy.
Payment of benefits is conditional upon the timeous receipt of your premiums for the period of insurance
and subject to the terms, exceptions and conditions stipulated herein.

      GENERAL CONDITIONS
The following conditions are applicable to all sections of your policy and must be complied with by you
to warrant cover in terms of it.

      1. Jurisdiction
Cover granted under this policy is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South
          Africa.
      2. Prevention of loss
You must take all reasonable steps necessary to prevent or minimise loss, damage, injury or liability.
      3. Change of details
You are obligated to inform us in writing if any of the policy details or declarations are incorrect
or if any of these details or declarations have changed, as this may influence the continued acceptance
of the policy, risk or claim. This also applies to the proof of any no claim bonus.
      4. Cancellation
This policy or any section of it may be cancelled
4.1 by you at any time giving us written notice and we will be entitled to retain the customary short
               period premium or minimum premium
4.2 by us by giving you 30 days notice in writing at your last known or nominated address and we
will retain a pro-rata premium. The retention by us of any short period or minimum or pro-rata
premium will apply to annually paid premiums only,
      5. Payment of premium
You must pay the premium by the date that it was due to be paid. Where such premium is by way
of debit order, the onus will be on you to ensure that the monthly premium is met by the financial
          institution.
      6. Failure to pay
If you fail to pay any monthly or annual premium within 15 days of the due date no claim shall be
payable to you and cover will be cancelled.
      7. Onus of renewal
We do not automatically renew an annual policy and the onus is therefore on you to make sure that
you continue to enjoy cover where an annual policy has reached its anniversary date or where your
finance agreement has been paid up or fulfilled.
      8. Full value
You must ensure that the items covered are insured for their full current replacement cost.
      9. Automatic inflation adjustment
The sums insured under Section 1. Houseowners, Section 2. Householders and Section 3. All Risks
          1. Unspecified items may be increased on the anniversary date of this policy by a percentage that is
reasonably in keeping with inflation. This action will not relieve you of your responsibility to ensure
that each of these sums insured represent the full replacement value of your property at all times.
      10. Claims procedures, requirements and conditions
In the event of loss or damage:
10.1 You must notify us of any loss or damage as soon as possible and forward a completed claim
