We aim to explore the idea of consumer culture in modern Ireland. We
are interested in exploring notions of the absurd, of the unnecessary
                           and exaggerated marketing campaigns.
To achieve this we created a temporary store, using a variety of ab-
surd, fictional products we create an alternative shopping experience
within a traditional consumer setting - our subversive environment
juxtaposed with the status quo of everyday retail.
Employing a series of humorous and abstract devices to create a
range of functionless satirical products displays and interactive
media. Our goal in to create an inclusive, community orientated
experience that allows people to interact with the caricature of the
consumer experience, the day to day shopper as well as the arts
                           festival goer.

Questions are asked by the audiences’ inter-

-‘The Sea’
The Sea is a body of work which
deals with themes of meta-
morphosis, deterioration and
regeneration. Comprised of found
objects and recycled materials,
many of the pieces have the
capability of movement - turning a
crank can result in the movement
of a ship traveling through rough
seas or a change in direction.

word and the visual.
What happens if words are
replaced by images, if language is
made redundant, dysfunctional, if
we encounter a space where we
expect words or images and find
