Job description The following STUDENT position is a part of IBM Canada's EPIC (Employment Pathways to Interns & Co-ops) Student Program. This position is only open to students registered in a Canadian University or College program, who have completed a minimum of 2 years of their degree or diploma program, and who must be returning to full-time study upon the completion of the temporary IBM work term. Software Sales provides software solutions to a wide range of companies across Canada. Solutions are composed of products from the Websphere, Lotus, DB2, Tivoli and Rational brands. The student is expected to provide: •technical support to a team of IT Technical Sales Specialists and Sales Reps •assisting with server configuration •installing software products on a variety of network environments, hardware platforms and operating systems •working in IBM's Technology Exploration Centre in Markham helping set up customer demo scenarios. There will be opportunities for direct customer interaction and technical training is provided through class room courses and hands-on skills transfer from country product specialists.

Candidates applying for this position should have excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and be a self directed innovative team player, able to work in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision. 
