                                                                                         The Yosemite Valley Visitor Center in Yosemite National Park is
                                                                                         the largest of all the visitor centers w ithin the park. It also offers
                                                                                         the most information to the public in the form of displays, books,

                                                                                         any questions you may have.
TIME                     EVENT                                   The Valley Visitor Center is located in Yosemite Valley. The largest and most complete
                                                                 visitor center in Yosemite National Park, the center is easy to reach at Shuttle Bus Stops
                                                                 #5 and #9. Displays on natural history, audiovisual presentations, and informative staff all
                                                                 add to the educational aspect of the center. Children especially benefit from a visit to the
                                                                 center, w hich teaches visitors to the park about all the aspects of Yosemite.
7:00 a.m. Depart for Yosemite on “YARTS” Bus
YARTS = Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System             You can find books and maps in the center as w ell, if you feel a little lost! If you're
                                                                 interested, the center screens a film called "The Spirit of Yosemite" in the West Auditorium
                                                                 Theater, w hich w as recently renovated. The film lasts 23 minutes and provides a lot of

                                                                 Many visitors to the park make a trip to the Valley Visitor Center the first stop on their

      Meet in the Lodge LOBBY and we will proceed from there.    The center even has information on Ranger Programs, bear conditions, activities and

6:45 p.m.            Arrive in Merced and go to Zuercher’s for dinner
