					VP Global Marketing

The Role: The Vice President Global Marketing will be responsible for providing executive leadership and
management for the company’s marketing organization worldwide. This role works closely with the senior
management team to establish long term and seasonal business strategies, to identify new business
opportunities and to translate new opportunities into marketing strategies. This role is expected to
collaborate with the senior management team and work as a team member at all levels of the
organization. In summary, this role will be responsible for leading strategic thinking, direction setting and
complex problem solving for the following key business enablers:
      Product offering and promotional activities
      New product launch plans and execution
      Marketing plans and integrated marketing initiatives
      Overall growth and profitability of Cervélo products

Reporting to the Executive Vice President, the Vice President Global Marketing is responsible for:
    Developing the strategic marketing plan including positioning, market and competitive analysis,
       customer segmentation and overall product positioning
    Designing, developing and executing marketing campaigns including development of creative
    Building marketing and product plans that integrate with and support sales strategies
    Overseeing marketing communications including branding, public relations, advertising, trade
       shows, events, collateral materials
    Overseeing the development and execution of Cervélo’s on-line strategy, including website and
       social media
    Managing marketing initiatives against a set budget
    Evaluating, selecting and managing agency partners
    Conducting ongoing evaluation and measurement of the effectiveness of all marketing strategies
    Overseeing product, market and consumer research
    Interfacing with key departments, such as engineering, for product development, pricing and
       lifecycle management
    Overseeing product marketing, including product launch management, sales training, sales tools,
       competitive analysis and general sales support
    Acting as a spokesperson for the company with media and at industry events
    Developing and motivating a high performance marketing team
    Participating on the management team

For this position we require:

   Completion of a University Degree preferably in Marketing, Business or Economics
   Ten years of marketing experience in a comparable industry
   Five years experience in a senior management position
   Experience leading a team in an international environment
   Consumer marketing experience
   Exceptional track record of developing and implementing global marketing strategies that have
    consistently met or exceeded planned objectives
   Experience with brand strategy, consumer behaviour and communication channel portfolio (social
    media)
   Strong knowledge of marketing research, segmentation, proposition development and analytics
   Self-starter who is results oriented, strategic, able to solve problems, is innovative and a creative
    thinker
   Ability to manage outsourced marketing activities
   Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills
   Industry experience preferred
