 Read this Product Disclosure Sheet before you decide            Motor insurance policy
 to take out the Motor Insurance Policy. Be sure to also
 read the general terms and conditions.

1.   What is this product about?

     As an owner of a motor vehicle licensed for use on a public road, you will need to purchase a motor insurance
     policy. This policy provides insurance against liabilities to other parties for injury or death, damage to other
     parties' property, and accidental damage to your vehicle as well as loss of your vehicle due to theft.

2.   What are the covers / benefits provided?

     Several types of motor policies are available and the common types are :-

     Third party cover
     This policy insures you against claims for bodily injury or death caused to third parties as well as loss or damage
     to third party property arising from accidents involving your motor vehicle.

     Third party, fire and theft cover
     This policy insures you against claims for third party bodily injury and death, third party property loss or damage,
     and loss or damage to your own vehicle due to accidental fire or theft.

     Comprehensive cover
     This policy provides the widest coverage, namely, third party bodily injury and death, third party property loss or
     damage and loss or damage to your own vehicle due to accidental fire, theft or an accident.

     Common optional benefits that you may wish to purchase by paying additional premium: -
     - Additional named driver(s)
     - Legal liability to passengers
     - Legal liability of passengers for acts of negligence
     - Strike Riot and Civil Commotion
     - Flood, Windstorm, Rainstorm, Typhoon, Hurricane, Volcanic Eruption, Earthquake, Landslide, Landslip or
     - Breakage of glass in Windscreen(s) or Window(s)
     - Radio cassette CD player

     Duration of cover
     One year and you need to renew the insurance cover annually

3.   How much premium do I have to pay?

     The total premium you have to pay will depend on the type of policy selected, the cubic capacity of your vehicle
     as well as any optional benefits that you may wish to purchase. The insurance premium charged is the standard
     minimum rate in accordance to the Motor Tariff issued by the Persatuan Insuran Am Malaysia (PIAM) as per the
     Premium Table below: -

     In addition to the standard minimum rate, an additional premium or loading to the minimum premium payable
     may be imposed due to higher risk factors such as the age of the vehicle and claims experience. Such loadings
     are in accordance to the guidelines issued by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).

     No Claim Discount (NCD) - in the event of no claim being made or arising under your policy during the period
     insurance specified below immediately preceding the renewal of the said policy, the renewal premium for such
     part of the insurance shall be reduced as follows: -

4.   What are the fees and charges I have to pay?

     Rebate for policyowners

     With effect from 1st July, 2009, a rebate of 5% of the premium payable for the first year and full 10% of the
     premium payable thereafter is allowed for natural persons who purchase his/her own motor insurance policy
     from a licensed insurance company via any one of the means described below: -
     a) walk in, in person clients at the head office or branch offices of insurance companies;
     b) telemarketing operated by the insurance company;
     c) call center telemarketing where the call center is owned and operated by the insurance company or
          telemarketing outsourced to call centers controlled by the insurance company;
     d) internet marketing where the website is operated and belongs fully to the insurance company; or
     e) direct mailing from the insurance company.
     No rebates shall be given if you are represented by any third parties

5.   What are some of the key terms and conditions that I should be aware of?

     •      Duty of Disclosure - you should disclose fully all material facts which you know or ought to know, including
            previous accidents (if any), modification to engines, etc. If you are not sure as to whether a fact is relevant
            or not, please refer to us, otherwise the policy issued may be void and you will be personally liable for any
            claim(s) which you may make or any claim made against you by a third party.
     •      Cash Before Cover - all premiums due must be paid before commencement of insurance coverage.
            Payment can be made by cash, credit card or cheques (cheques should be made payable only in the name
            of our company. Insist on a receipt for the premium paid to us or your agent.
     •      With the full implementation of the JPJ eINSURANS system with effect from 2 January, 2005, physical
            cover notes are no longer issued as all the information on insurance coverage for your vehicle will be
            channelled electronically by our company or your agent to JPJ. However, a copy can be printed for you
            upon request.
     •      Passenger Liability Cover - if you intend to drive your vehicle to Singapore, you must take up a passenger
            liability cover as it is an offence under the law of the Republic of Singapore to enter the country without
            extending passenger liability cover to your motor insurance.
     •      Insured value/sum insured - if you are buying a policy against loss/damage to your vehicle, you must
            ensure your vehicle is adequately insured as it will affect the amount you can claim in the event of
            (a)         As a guide, for a new vehicle, the insured value will be the purchase price while for other
                        vehicles; the insured value is the market value of the vehicle at the time you apply for the
                        insurance cover.
            (b)         Under-insurance - if you insure your vehicle at a sum lower that its market value, you will be
                        deemed as self-insured for the difference, i.e. in the event of loss/damage, you will only be
                        partially compensated (up to the proportion of insurance) by your insurance company
            (c)         Over-insurance - If you insure your vehicle at a higher sum than its market value, the maximum
                        compensation will receive is the market value of your vehicle as the policy owner cannot "profit"
                        from a motor insurance claim.
     •      Policy deductible (applicable to comprehensive cover) i.e. the amount you have to bear for own damage
            claims :

          (a)        Insured person - amount of loss as stated in the policy that you have to bear before we pay for
                     the balance of the claim.
          (b)        Compulsory amount of RM400 if your vehicle is driven by any person under the age of 21 years
                     or the holder of a provisional license or a person named in your policy who is under the age of 21
                     years or any person who is the holder of a full driving license of less than 2 years or any person
                     not named in your policy.

     Note: This list is non-exhaustive. Please refer to the policy contract for the terms and conditions under this policy.
6.   What are the major exclusions under this policy?

     This policy does not cover certain losses, such as: -
     •    Your own death or bodily injury due to a motor accident
     •    Your liability against claims from passengers in your vehicle (except for passengers of hired vehicles such
          as taxis and buses)
     •    Loss or damage arising from an act of nature such as flood, storm, landslide but these perils can be
          included at an additional premium of 1/2% on value for each year or part of a year subject to minimum
          premium of RM15.00.
     •    Theft of non-factory fitted vehicle accessories (car stereos, leather seats, sports rim etc.) unless otherwise
     •    Consequential loss, depreciation, wear and tear, mechanical or electrical breakdown failures or breakages

     Note: This list is non-exhaustive. Please refer to the policy contract for the full list of exclusions under this policy.

7.   Can I cancel my policy?

     You may cancel your policy at any time by giving written notice to us. Upon cancellation, you will be entitled to a
     refund of premium based on short period rates as provided in the Motor Tariff. However, any minimum premium
     paid under the policy is not refundable.

8.   What do I need to do if there are changes to my contact details?

     It is important that you inform us of any change in your contact details to ensure that all correspondences reach
     you in time.
