 Tips for Working with Plasters
Plaster is mixed with clean, room-temperature water only.
Always add plaster to water, preferably screening it in. A general guideline for water-to-plaster is: 1 lb. of water for every 11/2 lbs. of plaster.
Plaster adheres to plaster. Protect one plaster surface from another by using a separator or parting agent, such as PF Soap.
Plaster is primarily an indoor material and is not suitable for outdoor use.
Plaster must be stored in a dry atmosphere to avoid absorbing moisture.
Plaster setup time is affected by water-to-plaster ratio (less water—faster setup), temperature of water (warm—faster setup), and speed and length of mixing, (long/rough
 agitation—faster setup).
Plaster can be used for both models and molds.
