                                 HIT AND RUN PEDESTRIAN - 2 VICTIMS
                                         SCENE STILL ACTIVE

The North Miami Beach Police Departments Traffic Homicide Unit is currently on the scene and
investigating the hit and run traffic crash involving 2 pedestrians in the Eastern Shores portion of the

The hit and run occurred at approx. 6:46 AM this morning. The victims described as an elderly
woman and a 16 year old girl, were walking northbound on the sidewalk in the 16700 block of NE 35
Avenue when the suspect vehicle driven by an approx. 60 year old white female, also traveling
northbound, left the roadway and struck both victims. The victims were transported to Ryder Trauma
Center. One victim is in critical condition and one is in fair condition.

We are currently searching for a vehicle and driver of interest only in this case.

The vehicle is registered to a Marcia Menendez of Sunny Isles Beach.

The vehicle may have damage to the right front, hood and possibly roof. Vehicle debris was left on
the scene. The investigation is on-going.

Beach Police Department.
