Sarah Cary’s Studio POLICIES: We offer workshops with a lower attendance so that each student will have the advantage of having a better learning experience. The workshops are limited to a maximum of 16 students. REGISTRATION Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis To register for a workshop fill out a registration form that is on the website. Attach a check for you non-refundable deposit of $100.00 and mail it to the address below. Registration for a workshop is accepted with a deposit by check or cash only. Registrations are accepted with a deposit only. Early registration is encouraged, as many workshops/classes fill quickly. Workshops with insufficient enrollment may be cancelled so it is important to register early. Registration is accepted by land mail or in person only Send completed form plus registration fee and tuition deposit to: Sarah Cary 1472 Carey Town Road Royston, GA 30662 WAITING LISTS Once a workshop or class is full, interested students may sign up on the waiting list. No registration fee or deposit is required to be on the waiting list. Students are notified of openings in the order they sign up on the waiting list. When students are notified of openings, they must pay the registration fee in full or they will lose their place on the list. COSTS Workshop fees vary based on workshop/class costs. Some workshops require an additional fee for a palette of paint or a kit prepared by the instructor. We will let you know if there will be an additional fee for a kit and you will receive a supply list of supplies you must bring with you to the workshop.. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 per workshop must be submitted with a completed registration form at the time of registration. This deposit will hold your place in the workshop. A fee for weekly classes and open sessions is due in full at time of registration and they are non-refundable. REFUND POLICIES Workshop fee must be paid in full 35 days prior to workshop date and this fee will be non-refundable or transfeerable. Cancellation Policy If you cancel; you will forfeit your entire tuition for that workshop. You will not receive a refund. However, a friend or family member may attend the workshop in your place. If the studio has to cancel the workshop all payments made on that workshop will be refunded. PLEASE NOTE: Sarah Cary Studio is not responsible for providing make-ups or issuing refunds, credits or transfers for days or entire workshops/classes missed as a result of illness, emergencies or no other events beyond the Studio’s control. Students will receive a full tuition refund only in the event that Sarah Cary Studio cancels the workshop. Sarah Cary Studio urges all out-of-town students to buy refundable airline tickets in the event of workshop cancellations or other unforeseen changes. These policies will be strictly enforced. Call 706-714-1215 prior to registering if you have any questions regarding cancellation and refund policies. CHECKS a fee of $35.00 will be charged for any checks returned for non-sufficient funds. WORKSHOP LOCATION Workshops and classes are held at the Studio. Plein air painting sites are located a 15-30 minute drive from the Studio. Students attending workshops will be given instructions on where to meet the first day of the workshop. Call if you have questions. CHANGES Sarah Cary Studio reserves the right to change its calendar, withdraw or modify a course or substitute instructors at any time. We will make every effort to notify students of major changes in the schedule. Sarah Cary Studio reserves the right to require withdrawal of any student whose conduct is deemed detrimental to the Studio. SKILL LEVELS . If selecting a class with a higher skill level than you possess you must agree to work at your own pace, take notes and learn all you can to grow as an artist. Weekly classes designated for beginners are appropriate for students with little or no art experience. Please note that Sarah Cary Studio workshops are designed for adults. Beginner – Student may be ask to be willing to try some basic drawing skills if required (or) and have some familiarity with the medium used in the class or is willing to work at your own pace and learn without interrupting the workshop Intermediate – Student understands some of the basic elements of design including composition, value, and color. Student is comfortable working with the medium used in the class. You can choose to enter; work at your own pace and learn as much as you can without demanding a lot of the teacher’s time. Advanced – Student has some drawing skills if required and is confident working in the medium used in the class. Professional – Student is a working artist and is interested in acquiring additional skills or techniques for professional development. LODGING We offer lodging on a first come first serve basis. A non-refundable deposit of $100. is required to hold a lodging space. Included in the lodging fee: 1. Two meals a day (breakfast and lunch) Sandwich material will be available for each student to prepare a dinner meal or you may choose to dine at a local restaurant. 2. Coffee, orange juice, milk and tea are supplied 3. Soda’s and bottle water are .50 cents each 4. Shower gels, shampoos, conditioners and linens are supplied. The bedrooms have two twin beds in each and are shared with another student. The bathrooms are also shared with the students The Studio and lodging is a home setting. There are no telephones and local television and a DVD player only. We are located in the country side of Royston Ga. We are17 miles north of Commerce GA; off I-85 North at exit 160, then east on highway 51, right onto highway 174, right onto Carey Town Road, one mile on the right. SUPPLIES Supply lists will be sent to students approximately thirty-five (35) days prior to the workshop date or upon registration if we have received one from the instructor once receiving your registration.
