                        Date: Tuesday 15 March 2011

Time: 19.30 hrs - Briefing on Accident Investigation and Claims - The Follow up!

Venue: Oriel House Hotel, Ballincollig, Cork

                    Briefing Aims
There is an increase in claims following accidents and the downturn in the economy has not curbed that trend.
Organisations and safety practitioners need to know how to tackle them as they can result in spiraling costs
including higher insurance premiums. Knowing how to manage both accidents and compensation can help
                    control this.

At the briefing you will find out:
                    • Why do many firms lose compensation cases by default
                    • How personal injury claims directly affect your insurance premium
                    • Why accidents need to be fully investigated
                    • How to investigate an accident
                    • How to stop claims being made against your company
                    • How injury claims should be handled to minimise costs
                    • Some answers to your questions

                    Speaker: Vincent Dower, FBD Insurance
Vincent Dower is a claims investigator with leading insurer, FBD Insurance. He has also worked with other large
insurance companies. Vincent will share his experience with accident investigation and claims experience with
                    attendees.

                    Speaker: Donal O’Regan, BCL, FCII
Donal O’Regan has many years experience as a senior Claims executive at Hibernian and is a solicitor.
Donal will talk about legislation and accident investigation.
