                                  INVITATIONS

Save the date! EBU (European Blind Union) will hold its 9th General Assembly on
4-7 October 2011 in Fredericia (Denmark). Founded in 1984, EBU has become a
powerful, recognized voice in the international disability arena (read more on our
website, www.euroblind.org).

The assembly is held every four years and is coupled with a major exhibition of assis-
tive technologies and technical aids for the visually impaired. The exhibition, which
will take place from 5 to 7 October, is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to demonstrate
your latest products for the benefit of some 250 visually impaired leaders and deci-
sion-makers representing national organizations of and for the visually impaired in 45
European countries, most of whom are also involved in the distribution of assistive
technologies.

As you will see from this document, our host, the Danish Association of the Blind, is
making all the necessary arrangements for you to exhibit your products in the best
environment and conditions possible.

Please visit the general assembly website for updates,
http://www.euroblind.org/projects-and-activities/events/upcoming-events/nr/3

So mark 5-7 October 2011 on your agendas and come to meet the blind and partially
sighted of Europe!

Lord Colin Low
EBU President

Dear Exhibitors.
It is a pleasure for Danish Association of the Blind (DAB) to welcome You to this
extraordinary exhibition in Fredericia, Denmark in October 2011

2011 is a very special year for DAB because we have the honour of being the hosts of
the 9th EBU General Assembly, but we also celebrate our 100 year anniversary with
festive and informative activities all over the country in order to create even more
awareness on the challenges facing persons with a visual impairment.

We expect many visitors to the exhibition apart from the 300 delegates, who partici-
pate in the EBU General Assembly. The exhibition will be highly promoted in our
Nordic sister countries, and of course many of our Danish members are much inter-
ested in seeing the latest developments in assistive technologies and technical devices
and services for the visually impaired.

It is our hope, that the setting of the exhibition and the General Assembly will create
a conducive environment where exhibitors and decision makers can exchange know-
how, experiences, and network with future business partners.

This is, therefore, an opportunity not to miss as no other exhibition within Europe has
the capacity to reach as many countries’ resource persons as the General Assembly
exhibition.

We look forward to welcoming you to Fredericia.

John Heilbrunn, vice president
Danish Association of the Blind
