   Front horse shoe

                                                    Plate

2. MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
The Skitec system utilizes snow ski technology, and as any other precision mechanism it
requires the following mounting and adjusting instructions to be followed strictly.
These instructions must be followed, and proper maintenance used in order to avoid serious
injury or death.
Mounting instructions for forward back [e.g. : instructions for skier that rides ski with binding back
or forward a hole.)

Before removing old binding – mark ski where anklebone lies, (remove binding). Ski technique
bindings come set at a factory setting. The plate has holes for virtually all ski brands. It also can
be mounted with 3M Dual Lock system.
Place ski technique plate and binding on ski and line up the six holes or, then look at mark on ski
and see if it lines up with ankle bone on boot (ankle bone is situated ¼ inch in front of silver
hinge.) If not, measure the difference.

If the boot needs to be moved then do this : Release boot from plate, using a 7mm socket and
flathead screw driver, remove release mechanism and move forward or back 2 holes (e.g. 2

                                                                                                    3
holes = ½ inch) then using flathead screwdriver remove front horse shoe and move forward or
back 1 hole (2 holes moved at the back = 1 hole moved at front)
Replace boot and binding on ski and check marks.

   MOUNTING INSTRUCTION FOR NEW SKI

(No old binding references)

1. You must have factory measurement from tail of ski to inside front binding horseshoe.
2. Place plate and boot on ski and line up holes, then measure your factory measurement from
tail of ski to binding and add 3 ½ inches, this will take you to the ankle bone on boot (which is
situated 14 inch in front of silver hinge.
3. If factory measurement and 3 ½ inches do not take you to anklebone, then follow mounting
instructions for forward and back movement.

3. SETTING UP THE RELEASE MECHANISM
Correct positioning of the release mechanism is critical to the proper operation of the system.

4. SETTING UP THE TENSION OF THE RELEASE MECHANISM
As with the snow ski, the release mechanism must be set in accordance to the weight and the
skiing style of skier.
For the large majority of skier, the tension on the release mechanism should be set between 4
and 6.
It is not recommended to set the tension on the release mechanism over 6 – doing so might
prevent the system from release when necessary and cause injury or death.
Position the Boot on the hell bracket – you should feel a slight resistance before the release
system clamps. If not, refer to section 5, Troubleshooting.
