INVITATION TO RACE
1. RULES:
The series will be governed by the rules as defined by The Racing Rules of
Sailing.
2. SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

3. ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY:
3.1 The series is open to 505, 470, 420, Laser, Optimist, Open Bic, Flying Ant,
Sharpie, 29er, 49er, Cherub, Minnow, Mirror, Contender, Jay Dee, Tasar,
Flying Fifteen, International 14, Hobie Cat, Nacra, Formula Sailboards and Bic
Techno 293 Sailboards.
Other Dinghy Classes are welcome. Please note a minimum of four (4) boats
constitutes a fleet.
3.2 Competitors must be financial members of a Class Association that is affiliated
with a National Authority recognised by ISAF. Sailboard sailors must be a
member of Windsurfing WA.
3.3 All sailors must be financial members of a yacht or sailing club that is affiliated
with a National Authority recognised by ISAF and have a minimum of $A5
million public liability insurance.
3.4 Eligible boats may enter on the attached Entry Form, which must be lodged
with the Fremantle Sailing Club Sailing Office.
4. FEES:
Single-Handed: $20 per series or $10 per race day
Double-Handed: $30 per series or $15 per race day
Additional Crew: $10 per series or $5 per race day
5. RACING AREA:
Races will be conducted on the area of water adjacent to Success Harbour,
Fremantle Sailing Club.
6. COURSES:
The courses will be as described in the Sailing Instructions.
7. ANNOUNCEMENT OF RESULTS:
On the same day as the race, approximately 45 minutes after the last boat has
finished.
8. TROPHY PRESENTATION:
The Trophy Presentation will be held on Saturday 20 August 2011 following
the conclusion of the final heat.
9. DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY:
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4,
Decision to Race. The organizing authority, its associates and appointees, will
not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death or
inconvenience sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the
regatta.
10. WARNING:
Sailing and activities associated with it involve risks of personal injury, loss
and damage and even death. The risks include but are not limited to, the risk
of injury from collision, capsizing, falling overboard, being trapped under the
sail or boat after capsize and impact with equipment. Any of these events can
also result in death.

accepted, a late payment fee may be charged.
