                                                                       TO MAKE UP NATE (using a whip stitch to attach body parts)
                                                                       • Position and sew legs flat to bottom of body so that his legs
                                                                         point forward. This way he can sit without falling over.
                                                                       • Position and sew arms on each side at the top of his pants.
                                                                       • Using dark brown yarn and tapestry needle, embroider
                                                                         eyebrows and the side of his mouth.
                                                                       • Using orange yarn and tapestry needle, make laces on his
                                                                         feet and tie bows.

                                                                       Your Nate is now ready for play!




    ARMS - MAKE 2 (with orange variegated yarn)
    CO 4 sts (join in round w/o twisting) PM
    R1 thru R20 - K all
    R21 - (K1FB) 4 times (8 sts)
    R22 - (K1FB, K1) 4 times (12 sts)
    R23 thru R26 - K all
    R27 - (K2tog, K1) 4 times (8 sts)
    R28 - (K2tog) 4 times (4 sts)
    • Cut yarn and thread tapestry needle
    • Slightly stuff hand
    • Thread yarn through remaining stitches and pull shut
    • Weave in end

    LEGS - MAKE 2 (with dark brown yarn)
    CO 6 sts (join in round w/o twisting) PM
    R1 thru R30 - K all
    R31 - (K1FB) 6 times (12 sts)
    R32 - (K1FB, K1) 6 times (18 sts)
    R33 thru R36 - K all
    R37 - (K2tog, K1) 6 times (12 sts)
    R38 - (K2tog) 6 times (6 sts)
    • Cut yarn and thread tapestry needle
    • Slightly stuff foot
    • Thread yarn through remaining stitches and pull shut
    • Weave in end
