Convert a fractional to a decimal

        Convert 4/9 to a decimal.

        1. Divide the numerator of the fraction by the denominator (e.g. 4 ÷ 9=0.44444)

        2. Round the answer to the desired precision: 0.44

Convert a decimal to a fraction

        Express 0.625 as a fraction

        1: Write: .0.625
                     1
        2. Multiply both top and bottom by 1,000 (there were 3 digits after the decimal
        place so that is 10×10×10=1,000): 625
                                         1000

        3: Simplify the fraction: 625      =     25        =    5
                                  1000           49             8


Convert a decimal to a percent

        Convert 0.83 to a percent.

        1. Multiply the decimal by 100 (e.g. 0.83 * 100 = 83)

        2. Add a percent sign after the answer (ex: 83%)



Convert a percent to a decimal

        Convert 83% to a decimal.

        - Divide the percent by 100 (e.g. 83 ÷ 100 = 0.83)
