UNLV Hillel Dinner at CNT
Friday, November 13
5:45 pm - 7:00 pm
CNT is hosting the students from UNLV Hillel to dinner
followed by the Shabbatone Musical Shabbat Service.
Our goal is to reach out to students enrolled at UNLV
and inspire a connection. College students that are CNT
members are also invited to join us for dinner & services.

RSVP for dinner to Beth Bowman at 733-6292 ext 205.

We need YOUR help to make all this happen!
Do you like to cook or bake? Do you have a college
student living at home that you’d like to bring? Or
maybe a student visiting from out of state? Come lend
a hand and help make this a welcoming experience for
these students.

To volunteer, contact Beth Bowman at 733-6292 ext
205, or Bbowman@lvnertamid.org.

 Financial donations
 appreciated.

 Michael Unger
 Men’s Club President
Many thanks to the Men’s Club volunteers who assisted as ushers during the High Holy Day Services. Thanks
also to those who volunteered to erect the Sukkah, and then dismantled it 10 days later.
Mitzvah Day, October 18th, Men’s Club participated in helping to feed homeless Veterans at the Veterans
Facility at Bonanza and Las Vegas Boulevard. We staged a party - over 100 veterans were served hot dogs, burgers
sodas, chips, salads and all the fixings. Thank you to Barry, Art, Joe and Nadine, Stewart, Steve, Marty, and Alec for
helping us pay tribute to this group of very appreciative guys who are going through a financially hard time. Everyone
who volunteered felt the thanks through their eyes and smiles. We also donated hundreds of men’s clothing items
  cheerfully collected by Steve Tarnow.
Finally, our November event is a “bagel and schmere breakfast” with a guest speaker on November 22nd, at
9:30 am in the Social Hall. District Court Judge Cynthia Guiliani, who specializes in Family Court cases, will discuss
domestic violence, divorce, drugs, and custody issues. All congregants are welcome to come and listen to this
  dynamic speaker.
Watch my column next month for special December and January programming.
