             Constitution competition
                                                                                                         ‘Swinging’ in East County



     The Elks lodge sponsored the annual “Constitution and
     Bill of Rights” competition held at Grossmont College
     in El Cajon. Six local middle schools including Academy,
     Black Mountain, Cajon Valley, Correia, Hidden Valley
     and Van Avery participated in the competition. Trophies
     provided by the lodge were presented to the two top
     teams, Black Mountain and Van Avery who will advance
     to the Regional Competition at the Reagan Library and
     framed “Certificates of Participation” were given to
     each of the schools. Shown in the photo (left to right)
     are Janet Mulder, CA District 52 Coordinator and Tony
     Zambelli, CA District 51 Coordinator and El Cajon Lodge
     #1812 Scholarship Chairman.

                                                                                                                                                                                   Two things cause a head gasket
                                                                                                                                                                                   to blow, over heating the engine
                                                                                                                                                                                   and head gasket age. Usually
                                                                                                                                                                                   when a head gasket blows wa-
                                                                                                                                                                                   ter enters the piston chamber
                                                                                                                                                                                   and billows of white smoke
                                                                                                                                                                                   comes out of the tailpipe at first
                                                                                                                                                                                   start up. The head gasket could
                                                                                                                                                                                   leak externally but it is rare. A
                                                                                                                                                                                   head gasket could even leak oil
                                                                                                                                                                                   but that is manageable.

                                                                                                                                                                                     My suggestion is take it to a
                                                                                                                                                                                   shop. It could cost up to $6,000
