Government of Nunavut Employment Opportunity Accounts Manager Department of Economic Development and Transportation Iqaluit, Nunavut Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Business Services, the Accounts Manager administers the Corporation’s loan portfolio and directs the day-to-day activities of the Nunavut Business Credit Corporation’s financing programs. The incumbent monitors the portfolio to ensure that its overall quality and sector mix is consistent with corporate goals and objectives as set out by the Board of Director’s. This position assists the Nunavut Business Credit Corporation to carry out its legislated mandate as the Government’s principal business development agency focused on commercial financing to the Nunavut small and medium enterprise sector. The successful candidate will have a diploma in Business Administration or Business Management with training or course work in Accounting or Bookkeeping or experience in a Banking environment. You should have knowledge in accounting theory and practice4s, community economic development principals and associated concepts of development lending practice as well as sound knowledge of small and medium size businesses. You must have problem solving skills with strong written and verbal communication, effective organizational and administrative skills. Knowledge of Inuit language, communities, culture, land and Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit is an asset.
