					The Honey Badger

  by: Spencer Byrd
           Interesting Facts:
• The honey badger has a partner called the
  honey guide.
• It never gets honey on instinct, he gets it,
because it’s for both it and its partner.
• Don’t EVER mess with a honey badger
because… (hold your nose!) It can whip up a big
stink like it’s cousin the skunk.
• On the other hand, the honey guide needs
someone bigger and stronger than it to get the
reward it deserves. (they are like a dynamic
  duo!)
                Behavior:
• When attacked, this vicious weasel must
defend it’s home from predators like lions,
and hyenas. (especially humans, by the
  way.)
• Once at a bee hive, that’s the time to
spray the stink. Once the bees are passed
out, TA-DA! It has it’s reward for it and the
  honey guide.
           Inherited traits
• A baby honey badger is always black and
white when it’s born like a skunk.
             Learned traits
• When old enough, the dad teaches the
male pups to hunt and spray their stink.
Prehistoric conifer

  by: Spencer Byrd
           Interesting facts
• Some conifers can be as tall as 200, 225,
  300, or 400, feet high.

• That was back in prehistoric times, by the
  way.
           Inherited traits
Some have needles like pine trees.
             Learned traits
• Some conifers learn to live without
  sunlight.
Three cheers for the badger and
         the conifer!
