ALL EVENTS ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Field Guide to Butterflies (March 8 and March 30, 1 – 4 p.m.) Scientific illustrator Vichai Malikul with department of entomology at the National Museum of Natural History will explain the research process and techniques of butterfly illustration. He will sign prints as well as copies of his book, “Field Guide to Eastern Butterflies,” published by Peterson Field Guides. Fabulous Fishes (March 16, 2 – 4 p.m.) Susan Stockdale, author and illustrator of children’s books about nature, will give a reading and sign copies of her new book, “Fabulous Fishes.” The Washington National Mall (March 29, 2 – 4 p.m.) Peter Penczer will present a reading and sign copies of his book, “The Washington National Mall.”
