Congratulations on your forthcoming marriage. We are delighted that you are considering Llandaff Rowing
Club as a venue to host this special occasion.
Often referred to as the 'Hidden Jewel of Cardiff' with its stunning views across the River Taff from the
Llandaff Rowing Club is a photographers dream.
Situated in the Cathedral Village of Llandaff and with easy access for both the M4 and Cardiff City Centre,
Llandaff Rowing Club offers ample private parking and disabled access by means of a chair lift.
Llandaff Rowing Club has been granted a License to enable civil marriages and partnerships to take place
within the club function room.
Wedding bookings are accepted for Fridays and Saturdays, 52 weeks of the year although an alternative day
may be negotiated.
The function rooms seating capacity for a ceremony and Wedding Breakfast is up to 80 persons (70 if having
a top table), although additional seating can be extended into the bar area. A comfortable capacity for
evening celebrations is 80 – 150 persons.
Bank Holiday, New Year, Christmas Eve and Boxing Day bookings will incur a surcharge.

Prices shown can be held for 2012 bookings if FULL payment is received for all room hire and additional items
in 2011. This offer excludes catering and drinks for which we cannot yet determine any price increases.

The Evening Party Celebration Package                                                     £400.00

The ideal package for those who choose to marry abroad or more intimately at an earlier time but would still
like to celebrate with friends and loved ones in elegance and style. Our evening package gives you all the
trimmings that every dream wedding should have. The Evening Celebration Package includes room hire from
6pm until midnight with;

           Chair Covers with Coloured Sash (up to 50)
           White Ivy Leaf Linen Cloths for guests tables (up to 5 with table runner)
           Mirror Centre Plates
           Dressed Balcony and Entrance Hall
           Music Entertainment License Charge

Our Evening Party Package is based on 5 Linen Table Cloths and runners and 50 chair covers with sash.
Additional linens may be added at a reduced rate of 10% on the individual linen hire prices.
                          Catering, Refreshments and Entertainment

The accompanying menus are priced per head and are inclusive of VAT. Our catering partners, Christopher
Lee Catering, will be happy to discuss other menu options with you and ‘bespoke’ them to meet your
requirements. Chris has worked as a chef in top class kitchens of London including 5-star Inter-Continental
hotels, and Conran and Roux restaurants. Prior to starting the company, Chris was Sous Chef at Woods
Brasserie in Cardiff Bay.

Reception drinks can be provided serving Champagne, Cava, Bucks Fizz, and Pimms, soft drinks or wine from
our stocked range. We will be happy to advise you on all aspects of suitable refreshments including wine
selection, ideal food accompaniments and times of service.

Alternatively you may provide your own wine, cava or champagne which will incur the following corkage

The facility is licensed until 12pm with last orders being called at 11.50pm.
All guests are requested to vacate the premises by 12.30pm. A taxi service can be arranged either in
advance or upon request.
Please note that Llandaff Rowing Club is situated in a residential area and we would appreciate the
consideration of our neighbours as guests are leaving.

In order to keep our charges to the minimum a music entertainment license fee for DJ’s, bands, vocalists,
harpists etc is charged separately from the room hire fee. This fee covers the performing rights license fee
held by the club.

All entertainment must end at 12 midnight Friday and Saturday and 11pm all other days of the week.
                                  WEDDING AND PARTY FUNCTION and VENUE HIRE

1.1    A provisional booking for the date of your choice can be held for a maximum of 7 days only, without any obligation from either
1.2   The booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of a non returnable deposit payment of 15% of the chosen package cost and signed
       Terms and Conditions of Hire.
1.3    Balance payment of Package costs + 20% of catering is required no less than 4 months prior to function
1.4    The balance of all other agreed charges must be paid not less than 4 weeks prior to the date of the function.
1.5    Any additional costs i.e. catering number increases etc must be settled 7 days prior to the date of the function.
1.6    Failure to abide by Terms and conditions as set out in regard to payments due will result in the automatic cancellation of the function

To avoid disappointment please confirm availability of HOG ROAST as soon as possible, as it may not be available on your function date.

2.1    Cancellation of function UP to 4 months prior to the date of the function = deposit payment
2.2    Cancellation of function 4 months – 4 weeks prior to the date of the function = 75% Package costs + 20% catering charges
2.3    Cancellation of function less than 4 weeks prior to the date of the function = full package/room hire costs, 100% of all catering
       charges and additional costs agreed.

3.1   Numbers must be confirmed no less than 4 weeks prior to the date of the function
3.2   Numbers may be increased up to 7 days before the date of the function upon agreement with the management
3.3   Refunds will not be given for reduced numbers less than 4 weeks prior to the function.

Llandaff Rowing Club recommends that clients take out their own wedding insurance.

4      DELAYS
4.1   Whilst it is understood that sometimes slight delays can occur. Should catering requiring service be delayed longer than 30 minutes
      due to an hourly charge of £30 will be incurred.

6.1   Clients and their guests may not bring their own alcoholic drink onto the premises without paying our corkage charge
6.2   The management reserves the right to remove any alcohol brought in by guests.
6.3   The management will remove any alcoholic gifts for safekeeping, to be collected at the end of the function.
6.4   Corkage charges on Champagne, Cava and wines apply. Corkage on all other beverages will be to the discretion of the duty manager.
7.     KITCHEN
7.1    Llandaff Rowing Club reserves the right to display disclaimer notices for any catering not supplied by Christopher Lee Catering.
7.2    The management reserves the right to remove any food brought in by guests which may be deemed a health hazard due to incorrect
        storage or if it is deemed it has been left out too long.

8.1     Llandaff Rowing Club is unable to assume any responsibility for damage or loss of any articles left at the club before, during or after
         the function.
8.2     Llandaff Rowing Club is not liable for any loss or damages to guests’ belongings and personal possessions within the Llandaff
         Rowing Club site (including the Car Park) howsoever such loss or damage may have been caused.
8.3    Guests are responsible for the protection of their own property and should keep their belongings with them at all times.
8.4    The customer shall be responsible for any damage caused to the clubs property or any part of it (including without limitation
         furnishings or equipment) as a result of any act or neglect of the customer or their guests. The hirer shall pay the club on demand the
         amount reasonably required to make good, replace or remedy any such damage.
8.5    If the hirer employs the services of an outside contractor/entertainer the hirer shall be responsible for and indemnify the club against all
         claims, demands, losses, damages or costs sustained by the club in respect of any loss of or damage to property or death or illness of
         or injury to any person as a result of any act or omission of such contractor or entertainer except to the extent that the same arise
         from the negligence of the club. It is advised that the hirer check insurance and safety certificates of any outside contractor not
         booked by Llandaff Rowing Club.
8.6    Freeze dried petals used on tables must be natural. If dyed petals are used and table linen is damaged we reserve the right to charge for
         its replacement.
8.7    The use of live burning candles is not permitted unless agreed with the manager (only permitted under certain conditions).
8.8    The use of twisted cannon confetti is not permitted.

9.1    The club reserves the right to determine acceptable levels of noise and standards of behaviour and attire of guests and their contractors
         and the guests and their contractors shall observe and adhere to the clubs rules and regulations from time to time. In the event of the
         guest or their contractor failing to so adhere or comply, the club reserves the right to terminate this agreement and the event without
         liability to the hirer for any refund or compensation.
9.2    In the event of serious or repeated misconduct of any person attending the event the club reserves the right to compel such person to
         vacate the Llandaff Rowing Club site.
9.3    Children must be accompanied by an adult. The responsible adult will ensure that any under age children will not have access to
         alcohol and that children are kept away from the river.

10.1 The club and the parties, functions, conferences and events it hosts are subject to statutory controls including those relating to fire,
      licensing and entertainment and must be strictly observed by the guests and their contractors.
10.2 The hirer will be responsible for the behaviour of their guests and will ensure that all guests are made aware of the agreed hiring
      times and agree to leave the premises at the agreed time (e.g. taxis booked in advance)
10.3 Llandaff Rowing Club is a non-smoking venue throughout the building. Smoking is only permitted in the area underneath the
      balcony. Please ensure all your guests are informed and comply with this law and LRC policy.
10.4 Failure to abide by Terms and Conditions in regard to club rules, stipulations and etiquette etc by the hirer, their guests/contractors
      after reasonable request to the hirer, may result in early closing of bar and termination of function with no refund of monies.

11. The hirer will ensure that all personal items will be removed from the premises at the end of the event day unless other arrangements
     have been made in advance with the manager. Llandaff Rowing Club will take no responsibility for the safety of any items left on
     the premises.

12. Guests’ cars may be left in the car park overnight at the owners’ risk

13. Strictly no dogs or any other pets allowed except for guide dogs.

14. BOND – A bond payment of £100.00 is payable to the club 7 days prior to the booking date. This payment will not be banked and
     returned to the client within 10 days of the booking date. The management committee of Llandaff Rowing Club reserves the right to
     with hold the bond or part thereof should any of the agreed terms and conditions are not adhered to.


The above Terms and Conditions should be kept by the hirer for reference and only sign and return the agreement form on the next page.

Please read the WEDDING VENUE HIRE Llandaff Rowing Club Terms and Conditions carefully and
then sign and return this page with your booking deposit.

Bookings are not confirmed until receipt of payments of monies due as set out in the Terms and
conditions and signed Function and Venue Hire Agreement have been received.

Please note that this form applies to Llandaff Rowing Club Terms and Conditions only. Please make
sure you study and agree with them completely. Separate terms and conditions may be sent to you by
other suppliers you may have booked directly, for which Llandaff Rowing Club accepts no responsibility
or liability.
