LOCATION:                    Regional Office, Parsons, Kansas; member of Insurance Team
REPORTS TO:                  Sr. Vice President – Business Development
GRADE/SALARY:                Commensurate with qualifications and expertise. Non-Exempt.
POSTING DATE:                February 25, 2011. Open until filled.
The Insurance Support Specialist services assigned smaller crop insurance policies, provides technical customer follow-up to ensure
crop insurance policy compliance, and directly supports sales and marketing activities of insurance team.

• provides direct and primary support to one or more Insurance Specialists in sales and service of multi-peril crop and
    hail insurance policies.
• capably handles, services and grows own assigned smaller crop insurance policies.
• demonstrates a passion for assisting ag producers with risk management through crop insurance.
• supports team and manages own crop insurance portfolio with a competitive and service-focused talent.
• capably communicates crop insurance information to obtain and retain policies.
• leverages technology to manage large numbers of relationships with high efficiency processing from office location.
• thrives on delivering high volume, timely and complete range of insurance marketing and servicing support.
• capably ensures fully satisfactory compliance of assigned crop insurance policy administration.
• accomplishes significant work and file documentation with high degree of accuracy and completeness: marketing
    and servicing actions, acreage reports, production and loss information, customer follow-up, and billings.
• exudes initiative for proactive and appropriate action and timely service.
• is a strong individual and collaborative contributor, enhancing the customer experience through high service levels.
• builds and maintains positive working relationships with member customers, internal team members, and
    underwriting companies.

You’ll bring to us…
• crop insurance licensure (or shortly qualifies and obtains), enhanced by some post-high school education or degree.
• interest and capacity to develop full understanding of crop insurance marketing, servicing and compliance.
• at least 1-3 years experience providing successful sales support, and top-notch customer service.
• flexibility to plan for and balance multiple high-volume activities in fast-paced environment with firm deadlines.
• critical thinking skills applied to make consistently sound decisions.
• record of working accurately and effectively to achieve customer and internal work team goals and timelines.
• demonstrated ability to lead or follow to thrive in a team environment.
• well above average written, oral and interpersonal communication skills coupled with highly accurate computer
• demonstration of exemplary personal and professional integrity, confidentiality and conduct.
