Adopt-A-Dinosaur
Project Requirements
For this project, you will be required to research a dinosaur, create a picture page, and complete a fact sheet. You will be allowed two class periods to research your dinosaur using the resources in the library.
Part A: Picture Page (40% of your grade) The picture page must be neat, colorful, and contain the required information. You will need to create a slogan (statement or poem) that describes your dinosaur. You will need to include a picture of your dinosaur, its name (as well as its meaning and pronunciation), and your slogan. Picture pages may be done on a computer.
Part B: Fact Sheet (60% of your grade) Fact sheets must be neat, written in blue/black ink, and contain all of the information requested. You will also need to provide a list of sources on the back of your fact sheet. You need to use at least three resources! You may use a variety of reference sources to complete your project. Possible ideas are encyclopedias (CD Rom or book form), science books, magazines, and Internet sites. If you have access to the Internet at home, be sure to get your parent’s permission first!
