John considers the most rewarding aspects of his many years in Rotary to be the
opportunity to participate in the PolioPlus National Immunization Days in India,
his medical missions to Ternopil, Ukraine and his multiple humanitarian trips to
the Caribbean. John continues to initiate, write and assist with Foundation Match-
ing Grants on a yearly basis, including visiting the project sites.

Foundation Citation for Meritorious Service, the Distinguished Service Award the
Rotary International Service above Self Award and was recognized in 1999 as the
District 6960 Rotarian of The Decade.

    The Four-Way Test
In 1932, Rotarian Herbert J. Taylor created The
Four-Way Test, a code of ethics adopted by Rotary
11 years later. The test, which has been translated
into more than 100 languages, asks the following
questions:

Of the things we think, say or do

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
3. Will it build GOODWILL and
   BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?

4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?
