The facility is 19,000-square-feet and has a full-court gym-
nasium, recreation center, fitness center including state-of-
the-art exercise equipment, the Vermilion Boys & Girls
Club, craft area, computer classroom, locker and shower
rooms, a sauna, public restrooms, offices and storage for

Wellness Center Fact:
The $3.5 million facility was funded with $1 million from the
Bois Forte Reservation Tribal Council, $500,000 in grant
funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development, and a $2 million grant from the Shakopee
Mdewakanton Sioux Community.
Wellness Center Fact:
Current hours of operation: Monday – Friday.
8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours may be extended
into evenings in mid-August.

Corporation qualify for reduced rates.
Days before the grand opening the Summer Youth and kids of the
Boys & Girls Club worked hard helping get the Wellness Center
prepared for the opening. Which meant washing windows, laying
straw, sweeping and more. During the opening everyone took
time to enjoy the services and benefits the facility offers.
Wellness Center Fact:
