Ard Rí = High King of Ireland Rí Chonnachta = King of the Province of Connacht Tánaiste or in English Tanist is the “heir-apparent” to the title O Conor Don.

Ó Conchubhair Donn
note: Denis Armar O’Conor of Corrig Road, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, succeeded as O Conor Don in 1981 on the death of his cousin Fr. Charles Denis O Conor Don (1906-1981) (Jesuit Priest) son of Charles Hugh O’Conor, Lucan House, younger brother of Owen Phelim O’Conor Don (1870-1943). Owen Phelim succeeded his elder brother Denis Charles Joseph O Conor Don (1869-1917) died unmarried. Both Denis Charles and Owen Phelim were sons of Charles Owen O Conor Don (1838-1906) brother of the great grandfather of the present O Conor Don. (no. 60). Denis Armar was the President of the Society from 1991 until his death on July 10th 2000.
