Atomic Learning Launches Tech Skills Assessment
November 24, 2008. Little Falls, MN. – Atomic Learning recently launched Tech Skills Assessment—a new feature of
the popular Technology Skills Collection of online technology training tutorials. Tech Skills Assessment meets the need of
many educators and schools that are currently struggling to measure and record students’ tech literacy comprehension
levels.

Tech Skills Assessment utilizes ISTE NETS-S 2007 standards and Atomic Learning’s Technology Skills Collection training
tutorials to help educators gauge each individual student’s technology skill level. By providing a framework to incorporate
project-based assessment to demonstrate that skills can actually be applied, Tech Skills Assessment measures
comprehension, not just the ability to perform a task.

Tech Skills Assessment allows schools and districts to quickly identify specific technology competency gaps and provides
a robust tracking tool with a wide range of available reporting features.

Unique features of Tech Skills Assessment include:

 Project-based assessment that includes skills-based projects, sample rubrics and class discussion questions

 Questions focused not only on how to ‘use’ technology, but on how to apply it

     ISTE NETS-S 2007 standards correlation

 Curriculum projects that target specific technology gaps

 Reporting that allows users to see their overall skill competencies and the school or district to view and track
overall tech literacy—allowing problem areas to be quickly identified and addressed

Atomic Learning’s Tech Skills Assessment is available through a subscription to the Technology Skills Collection. The
collection includes over 37,000 show-and-tell technology training tutorials on more than 110 application students and
teachers use everyday, over 200 technology-infused lesson plans, workshops on Web 2.0, blogging, charting and much
more.

For a limited time, Atomic Learning is offering schools and districts that purchase the Technology Skills Collection free
access the new Tech Skills Assessment FREE for life—a $500 per building annual savings. This offer is valid on
subscriptions purchased before February 15, 2009.
