NET/Going under the Net
If anyone on your team touches the
net or steps under the net to the
other side, the other team gets the
point. STOP PLAY IMMEDIATELY
Any ball that hits the net and goes
over is playable, even a serve!
Illegal Hits
The only legal hits are those skills taught in class
Whenever there is an illegal hit, not a correct pass,
set or hit, the other team gets the point and serve
LIFT - any ball hit with one or two open hands
below the shoulders.
DOUBLE FISTS above the shoulders
BOUNDARIES
A ball landing on the line is good. If you
have hits left and the ball hits the CEILING
and comes back to your court you can
finishing using your remaining hits
All balls hitting the CEILING and going over
the net are out
The WALL & BASKETS are out
BOUNDARY LINES
All outside lines are “yellow” except those closest to
the stairs, we use the thick green line as the end line
there
SIDE LINE – the line on the side of the court
END LINE – the line on the end of the court
TEN FOOT LINE/3 METER LINE – line measured
10 feet from the net toward the back of the court.
The back row players CANNOT JUMP in front of
this line. Ten foot line is red and the thick red that
represents the inside of the basketball key
