Step 1 - Setting Out

1. Set out parallel line to the existing Access
   Floor.
2. Put PM 24 on datum point and aim beam in
   the direction the SRF will be installed.

3. Using the existing pedestals, ensure the
   beam is the same distance away from each

   pedestal.
4. Now measure in 2 feet increments down this
   line. This gives the start point for each of
   the column bases.


Step 2 - Setting Out                                                                       AA

1. Keep the PM 24 in the same position.
2. From Point AA, using the right hand beam, make
   a reference mark with the right hand 90 degree

Step 3 - Setting Out
                                                                                      17 in.
1. From Point AA, measure 17 inches along this
   reference line to create a Point BB. This will
   give a start point for a second horizontal                                                  AA
   reference line.

Step 4 - Setting Out

1. Align the PM 24 on the new start point, BB.                                                      AA
   Be sure to back reference the beam to AA (This
   ensures the beam is still 90 degrees to Point AA).
2. Use the right hand beam to create the second
   parallel line. Measure 2 feet lengths down this line
to create the reference points for the opposite
   column basis.

Step 5 - Marking Base Plates for Drilling

1. Put the MF-41DX Base Plate on the reference point.
2. Mark out holes for drilling. Do this for all Base
   Plates at all previously marked positions on the
   grid.

  Step 6 - Setting Anchors

  1. Drill holes using either Diamond or Rotary
     Hammer Drilling.
  2. Two Anchors are needed per Base Plate,
     mounted diagonally across from one another.
  3. Install the 12 mm HSL B anchors, but DO NOT
  torque
     them yet. They need to remain loose for
     adjustment of the remaining floor.                                           Step 6

Step 7 - Vertical Column Assembly
                                                                                  MS-41D
1. Insert a MS-41D Strut Column (cut length as
   required) into the MF-41 DX Base that has been
   fixed over the Datum Point. Be sure the channel                                MF-41 DX
   length is correct to ensure the proper finished floor
   height.
2. Fasten Strut Column to Base with Pushbuttons.

   Do not fully tighten Pushbuttons.
3. Mount MV-3/2 DX Connector on top of the MS-41D
   Strut with Pushbuttons. Again, do not fully tighten
   Pushbuttons. Ensure the Connector is flush with
   the top of the column.

Step 8 - Fixing Column Height                                                                           Step 8

1. Using a PR 15 self-leveling laser tool, set it onto the
   reference Strut Column that has just been installed.
2. Allow the PR 15 to level. With a tape measure
   placed on the flat horizontal section of the
   MV- 3/2DX, record the measurement where the beam
strikes the tape measure. This is the ‘drop
   reference height’.



Step 9 - Fixing Column Height                                                                           Step 9

1. Move to another MF-41DX location. Insert the next
   piece of MS-41D Strut into the MF-41DX.
2. Adjust the tape measure up and down until the
   beam strikes the ‘drop reference height’ on the tape.
  The bottom edge of the tape is the correct height to
   cut the MS-41D.
3. Mark this point, remove MS-41D and cut to length.                      Columns will be at the same level
4. Install MS-41D and MV-3/2DX as in Step 7.
5. Repeat Step 9 for all other MF-41DX locations.

Step 10 - Longitudinal Strut

1. Place longitudinal strut (MS-21D) atop Strut
   Columns as shown.
2. Fasten the MS-21D strut to the MV-3/2DX connectors
with four Pushbuttons per connector. To allow for                                2
adjustment, do not fully tighten Pushbuttons.
3. Repeat for both sides.


Step 11 - Check for Square

1. Measure in the diagonal direction from the slotted
   hole in the Connector to the slotted hole in the Base
   Plate. Record measurement.
2. Measure the opposite diagonal in the same manner.
3. Adjust the top of each column until the two diagonal
   measurements are equal. Several measurements
   may be required.
4. Tighten all Pushbuttons to finger tight.                            Step 11

Step 12 - MW-D2/D Angle Brackets

1. Fasten Angle Brackets to MS-41D columns
   using two Pushbuttons per bracket. Do not fully
   tighten.
2. Repeat for all columns.                                                        1
3. Pre-mount Pushbuttons in the angle brackets                                        3
   remaining holes.

Step 13 - Cross-Tie Strut

1. Place pre-cut Cross-Tie Strut directly over vertical
   columns and Angle Brackets.
2. Complete installation of Pushbuttons. To allow for
   adjustment, do not fully tighten Pushbuttons.

Step 14 - Check for Square

1. Measure in the diagonal direction from the corners
   of the top of the Raised Floor. Record
   measurement.
2. Measure the opposite diagonal in the same manner.
3. Adjust the top of each column until the two diagonal
   measurements are equal. Several measurements
   may be required.
4. Finger-tighten Pushbuttons to prevent the

   adjustments from slipping.



Step 15 - Secure Fastenings

1. Tighten ALL Pushbuttons to the recommended
   torque value (50 ft-lbs).
2. Tighten ALL anchor bolts to the recommended
   torque value (60 ft-lbs).

Step 16 - Strut Bracing

1. Pre-install 1/2” Strut Nuts at each end of each
   13/16” Strut Brace.
2. Place Strut Brace on the inside of the MF-41DX
   Base Plate and MV-3/2DX Connector in a diagonal                                    2
   manner (as shown).
3. Using a 1/2” bolt, washer and lock washer, fasten
   through the slots in the plates into the Strut Nuts.                                   1
4. Fasten the opposite Strut Brace in the diagonal                     Step 16
   direction opposite that of the first Brace.
5. Tighten ALL bolts to the recommended
   torque value of a 1/2” Strut Nut (30 ft-lbs).

Step 17 - Insert Bars

1. Slide appropriate number of 1/2” Short Insert Bars                          1
   into the top half of the Longitudinal Strut. The
   number of insert bars is based on the number of                  Step 17
   fastenings to secure each cabinet or frame.
2. Space Insert Bars along the Longitudinal Strut to
   correspond with the footprint of each cabinet.

Step 18 - Isolation Rubber                                                        2

1. Measure and cut Rubber Insert to fit in between
   the placement of the Short Insert Bars as appropriate             Step 18
to provide electrical isolation of the frame or cabinet.
2. Push Rubber Insert into top portion of Longitudinal
   Strut in appropriate location.
