                NEW BASKETBALL REALITY SHOW SEEKING
                CONTESTANTS WHO WANT ANOTHER SHOT
Life’s Circumstances Got in the Way; New Show Gives Them a Second Chance

SANTA ANA (July 23, 2011) – A new sports-based reality show aims to combine all the excitement of
basketball with real life drama of men overcoming adversity and making the most of getting a second
chance to live their dream.

“One Last Shot” is looking to fill its last few contestant slots for its first season. Auditions have been
going on for months with castings held in Los Angeles, New York and six other US cities. The casting
process is now open to online submissions. The show’s creator Sean Goodwin is accepting email entries
at BasketballReality@gmail.com and interested parties can view some of the applicants’ videos online
on the BasketballReality channel on YouTube.com.

“Viewers will relate to the drama and find the contestants compelling” Goodwin said. “Their stories,
their past and present challenges, their hopes and fears as they try to overcome the obstacles that kept
them from achieving their NBA dreams.” He called those already cast “an eclectic and talented group of
players.”

Sports reality shows have typically been tough to structure in a manner that appeals to the general-
viewing audience. Goodwin believes he has all the missing pieces to the puzzle. “A lot of thought has
gone into the development of this show.” Goodwin said. “The hardships and challenges some of the
players have had to endure are not unique to athletes. Viewers will find it exciting to watch them rise
from the ashes of adversity. It’s a story of hope and triumph. Basketball is the vehicle on which these
men hang their hopes and dreams, with the overall story being one that anyone who has faced a
hardship or disappointment can relate to.

“But don’t get me wrong, there’s going to be some great basketball.”

On board with the project is Emmy-award-winning director/editor Mike Bruining, who states “The
show’s concept and structure is well thought out and even viewers that are not basketball fans will
appreciate and enjoy the show.”

Goodwin was a public access television producer in Santa Ana, CA back in 1999 well before the YouTube
phenomenon overtook public access as the medium mainstay. “I am enjoying being back to creating
visually compelling programming, I got lost along the way and fell prey to the real estate boom and then
bust, only working on a couple of infomercials in the past 8 years or so. Ironically now that the volatility
in finance and real estate is about par with the entertainment industry I might as well do what I love.
Since I am a workaholic who loves to problem solve there is no reason why I cannot do both.” Goodwin
was also a finalist on “American Gladiators” where his drive and determination was the reason he was
considered one of the shows “all-time greatest contenders”.

One Last Shot was created with the idea of giving those who missed their window of opportunity
because of some unfortunate circumstance another chance at making their dreams come true. In
addition to cash and prizes the winner is going to receive a package deal comprised of all the elements
to making it as a pro these players need including trips to camps, an agent and an endorsement deal.
Serious basketball players who would like to have One Last Shot and be considered for the reality show
should submit a short bio and a photo to BasketballReality@gmail.com the deadline for submissions is
August 1.
