Please get your journals ready….
Let us make the sign of the
In the name of the Father,
and of the Son, and of the
Gospel story for this week: John 20:19-23
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together,
with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood
among them and said, “Peace be with you!” After he said this, he showed them
his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the
Lord. Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am
sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy
Spirit. If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive
them, they are not forgiven.”
The theme for this week is…
Words to ponder from Lady Gaga.
My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars
She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir
"There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are"
She said, "'cause he made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up, girl and you you'll go far
Listen to me when I say"
I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way.
Let us say together the following prayer:
Lord, thank you for making me who I am.
Thank you for all the gifts and talents I have.
Help me to use these as forces of good in the
world and not to put others down or hurt
people around me. Be with me this week and
help me to be proud of myself and to be whom
I really am.

but the way their prices were displayed was interesting.
FIVE for 10p
TWELVE for 18p
FIFTEEN for 20p
NINETEEN for 24p
I eventually worked out the 'logic' of the prices.
