As you may know, year 6 recently returned from a fun-filled trip to Manor Adventure in Shropshire.
Children took part in activities such as the zip wire, kayaking, archery, rock climbing, shooting and
The children gave an excellent account of themselves and staff were particularly impressed with
the maturity shown over the course of the week. Photos of the week are available to view
on Fronter (look for the 'Manor Adventure 2011' room when you login) and can be accessed using
your Fronter login details. If any parent/carer has forgotten their details then please see your
child's class teacher. (Mr Reynolds)

Sports Day (for years 2-6)
Sports day will be held on Tuesday 28th June for children in years 2- 6 and will start at 1.30pm.
Parents are welcome to come along to support – however please pay careful attention to the
allocated spectator’s area. Entry to the school will be via the bottom junior gate
Suntan Lotion & Hats
During hot weather we ask that children apply (or have applied) a long lasting suntan cream before
they arrive in school. However if parents/carers feel their child/children need to reapply their
cream or lotion during the day, we are happy for them to bring it into school. They must reapply
the cream/lotion themselves however as staff are not permitted to do so. It is also a good idea to
bring in a sun hat.
Class and Team Photographs
The photographs can be bought online directly through the website, Panikos Photography, using
PayPal. THE PHOTOS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO VIEW ONLINE FROM TUESDAY 21st JUNE,
and orders will need to be in by Friday 8th July so they can be delivered to school before the end
of term. Simply go to www.panikosphoto.com and click on "Client Access" (button is on
bottom left of the home page) and enter the password "panikos1234". Then click on
"Schools" and find the Eversley album and click on it. Enter the password "Wimbledon"
and you will be able to see the photos.
Update on the School Expansion
First Phase – Infant building
We have been advised by the local authority that the school will take possession of the new
classrooms in the Infants by the end of October.
For September, therefore, we will temporarily re-locate the music room. Reception and year 1
classrooms will stay as they are. The two current year 2 classrooms will remain as they are and
the music room will become the third year 2 classroom.
Once we take possession of the new classrooms we will spend some time furnishing them with
new furniture, resources and interactive whiteboards. Once we are happy that they are completely
ready year 2 will move to them. I’m sure they will be very excited to be the first occupants!
Second phase – junior building
Tenders have been received for the second phase of the school expansion and are being
reviewed by architectural services.
Work on this phase will not commence until at least October. As soon as I have a date for that I will
inform you. I have asked Architectural Services for the up to date plans for this and these will be
on show for you during Open Evening on the 14th July, in the junior hall. Please do come and see
I will let you know any further information as soon as I get it, via the newsletter.

Well done to all those who helped make this another great Quiz Night and congratulations to the
Hewson’s Table who came first.
SUMMER FETE – 3rd JULY 12pm–4pm
Your children will have brought home yesterday a letter all about this year’s event and also two books
of raffle tickets for you to sell to friends and family. Please make sure that all stubs, money and any
unsold tickets are returned to either school office by Wednesday 29th June.
NEXT FRIDAY 24th JUNE in return for bringing your donations for the fete the children can
come to school in their own clothes.
This year we are requesting that all Infant children bring in items for the Children’s’ Tombola and all
Junior children bring in items for the Bottle Tombola. We are also asking for all children to bring in
jam jars full of sweets. Please make sure that the jars have been washed and please do not use any
that have had strong smelling food in them. This year we will be holding a Teddy Tombola so please
can each child bring in a good quality soft toy for this.
We are going to hold a Crockery Smash this year so if you have any old, unwanted items please also
