Selected Accomplishments: Corporate Marketing Communications

824-page Product Specification Guide Details 1550 SKUs in a Single Bound Resource. Project involved full
documentation of all products including complete descriptions, marketing and application information as well as
engineering drawings, photos, installation data and multiple indexes for easy referencing of the company‟s
Rack, Power, and Audio products.

CD-Rom named “Best in Industry”. Designed and produced the commercial sound industry‟s first easy-to-use
specification binder on CD-Rom. The CD was distributed with a perfect-bound 544-page version of the
company‟s 3-ring engineering binder. Project saved $80,000 per year in printing costs and reduced the per unit
expenditure from $68.00 to $6.48.

Multi-level Web Site Features On-line Specifications. Successfully justified and launched Atlas/Soundolier‟s
website in 1997 overcoming internal opposition to the use of leading edge internet technology. Site earned
industry acclaim for content, ease of navigation, and usefulness.

Development of Sales Management Software. Worked with an outside consulting company to create a tool for
the electronic transmission of inventory, order status and invoice data to field representatives. Implementation
included writing the installation manual/user‟s guide, training and on-going project management.

Corporate Merge Program Sets the Pace for Internal & External Leadership. Developed a multi-phase
marketing program that began with a unified visual and verbal identity and then expanded to facilitate positive
market and employee awareness/acceptance of the merge as well as renewed conviction for the company‟s
products, services, and distribution channels.


Selected Accomplishments: Outside Marketing Consultant

Graphics for the 2006 and 2007 „Ozark Renewable Energy & Sustainable Living Expo‟. Volunteered to help
and become part of the Executive Committee for Missouri‟s first and second renewable energy expo. Deigned
and produced event flyers, posters, T-shirts, newspaper ads and detailed program booklet.

Complete Marketing Program for Electronics Manufacturer in California. Hired as a free-lance consultant to
establish a corporate identity program and all marketing materials including logo, stationary, business forms,
product sales sheets, technical installation manuals, price catalog, tradeshow booth and promotions.

New Business Marketing Plan and Presentation Secures SBA Funds. Researched, wrote, and implemented a
complete new business marketing plan that resulted in SBA loan approval and the successful launch of St.
Louis‟ first referral service for the construction trades, Approved Contractor Referral.

Board of Directors Volunteer for United Cerebral Palsy Sheltered Workshop (1995-1999). Provided marketing
leadership and direction for Canterbury Enterprises; a sheltered workshop for the physically involved.

Marketing Communications Manager. Lowell Manufacturing, 100 Integram Drive, Pacific, MO 63069
(11/99 - Present). Responsible for establishing the company‟s marketing department and producing multiple
product catalogs, price lists, website, tradeshow booth, trade ads, press releases, and 824-page bound
specification manual detailing the company‟s 1550 products. Single person department requires broad-base
„generalist‟ management skills, detail oriented technical aptitude and full-depth proficiency in technical writing,
graphic design, engineering, sales and marketing.

Marketing Communications Manager. Atlas/Soundolier, 1859 Intertech Drive, Fenton, MO 63026
(2/86 – 10/99). Hired to combine and re-brand the marketing materials of two manufacturing companies that
merged: Atlas Sound in New Jersey and Soundolier in St. Louis. The combined corporation became a
successful leader in the commercial audio, security, music and custom installation markets. As marketing
communications manager for fourteen years, I refined my resource management skills including planning and
coordination of multiple goals, projects, suppliers, disciplines, teams, and personalities to accomplish
objectives on time, on budget, and with a positive attitude.

Advertising/Public Relations Coordinator. Cupples Products, 2650 South Hanley Road, St. Louis, MO 63144
(4/82 - 2/86). Hired to set up and coordinate an in-house advertising and public relations department for the
leading designer/manufacturer of extruded aluminum curtain wall for the architectural industry.

Advertising Sales Representative. News Democrat Newspaper, 120 South Illinois, Belleville, Illinois (3/81 -
11/81). Responsible for developing a new sales territory and increasing the active account list from 60 to 142
accounts in eight months.
