SMC Junior Zephyr Basketball Club to hold Information and Registration Meeting
The SMC Junior Zephyr Basketball Club will hold a parent information and registration
session on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 at St. Mary Central High School. The meeting,
which will begin at 6:30 p.m., will provide parents with information about the club and
determine the number of participants. Students are not required to attend. If parents
cannot attend they should provide information regarding their child’s interest to the
individuals listed below.

The Junior Zephyr Basketball Club will form tournament basketball teams for girls and
boys in grades 5 to 8 to compete in competitive level, regional basketball tournaments.
The program is run by a volunteer board and is assisted by coaching staff from the highly
successful SMC girls and boys basketball programs. The board and SMC coaching staff
work together to oversee coach selection, player evaluation and team practices.

The team will compete in selected tournaments outside of the school league season
starting in November and continuing through April.
