       The party is over for Spanish children in the Canary Island town of Aguimes: the
       mayor has announced a curfew that will send them to bed well before midnight
       on school-days. The children were staying up so late it was affecting their school-
       work. With the traditional siesta a thing of the past, the children had no way of
       catching up on lost sleep except by napping at school.
