The Society of Construction Law, Australia was launched
across the country in May and June 2009. Its objects are
stated in the Constitution as being:

‘… to promote the education, study and research (and
publication of the useful results of such research) in the field
of construction law and related subjects both in Australia and
overseas for the benefit of the public and the construction

the inspiration for its formation was the growing recognition of
how the law as it applies across the construction industry has
developed and the inclination to enjoy the professional and
social interaction which such an organisation will permit. the
society aims to continue the development across the country
of an interactive, cross disciplinary construction community
working together for the improvement of all aspects of
construction law.
