Chief Executive Officer and Founder
John Trickett serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Immergent and the 5.1 Entertainment Group.
John has vision, creativity and innovation as well as a solid grounding and experience in leadership, business
finance and strategic planning both within the music industry and without. He maintains excellent relationships
with major and independent record labels as well as the retail community.
Most recently Immergent has focused its efforts on developing a major online music retail store which combines
commercial music sales of content from all of the major and independent record labels within a unique and
innovative social networking framework
In the past, John has served on the boards of the DVD Entertainment Group and the DVD Audio Council and also
on committees of a number of prominent entertainment industry organizations including the National
Association of Record Merchants (NARM), the DualDisc Consortium and the Recording Industry Association of
An accomplished songwriter and musician in his own right, John has more than 60 song titles to his credit, is a
voting member of the Recording Academy and holds full composer and publisher memberships in the
Association of Composers, Artists and Publishers (ASCAP). He is also the executive producer of over 300 albums
and worked on projects with artists such as Fleetwood Mac, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eminem, Yellowcard, Norah Jones,
Queen, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, Aaron Neville, Josh Stone, the Foo Fighters, Usher and Sting among many
John has many years of experience in senior executive management. With Airtours PLC of England, he was the
founder and President/CEO of Sunquest Holidays which, under his leadership, became the largest wholesale
travel company in the Western United States within two years of starting operations. Prior to Sunquest, he was
a senior Vice President of Pleasant Holidays.
In addition to his executive positions, John undertakes regular keynote speaking engagements and runs
leadership training seminars for several non-profit organizations. He was educated at the University of London
and in 2008 was granted a Knighthood by the Crown of Sweden.
