SALARIES
Local Annual

The Local Annual tab is used to automatically reference the correct annual salary
for employees, based on their pay grade, pay step, max days employed and local
schedule code. This table could be used for creation of salaries for those
employees, such as teaching staff, whose pay is based on an annual amount
with step increases for years of service.

On the Job Code Table, this salary concept could then be attached to the
applicable job(s).

When the job is selected on the Job Info screen and you Calculate, the system
will then automatically populate the Base Annual field in the Daily Rate section
on that screen and can then calculate the Daily Rate based on the number of
days employed. In addition, when the Mass Update Salary Calculations feature is
used, the system will then use this table to extract the correct salary information,
perform calculations and populate many fields on the Job Info screen (make sure
that your HR Options Table is set to automatically calculate your pay and daily
rates).

Mid Point

The Mid Point tab is used to manage the pay rates for hourly, non-contract
employees, and contract employees not covered under the Annual or
Hourly/Daily salary tables.

                                                ESC 12/Local Salary Tables/July 2011/Info Svcs
How Mid Point is calculated:

 The system calculates the Base Annual amount as follows:

Hrs/Day X # of Days Empld = Annual Hours X Mid Point = Base Annual

Example:

7.5 Hrs/Day X 175 # of Days Empld = 1312.50 Annual Hours X $35.00 Mid Point =
$45,937.50 Base Annual

 If the Pay Rate is less than Minimum or is between Minimum/Mid Point or
Mid Point/Maximum amounts, then the Pay Rate will remain the same unless
the Maximum /Mid Point pay increase field is used on the Calculate/Data
       Preview window.
 If the increase by percent is utilized, then the Pay Rate will update by the
       increased amount only.

Example: If the Pay Rate is 29.50 (below the Mid Point rate of 31.00), and if the Mid
Point is increased by 1% (31.00 X .01 = 0.31), then the Pay Rate will update and
increase to 29.81 (29.50 + 0.31). Likewise, if the users enters a negative percent (-1%),
then the program will decrease the Pay Rate by 0.31 and set the Pay Rate back to 29.50.

                                                     ESC 12/Local Salary Tables/July 2011/Info Svcs
 If the Pay Rate, Contract Total, and Contract Balance fields equal 0.00, then
the system will update to the Minimum amount.
