                  Rothschild Private Banking appoints Client Director

Rothschild Private Banking and Trust has appointed James Fenwick as a Client Director. He joins
from Rothschild’s Investment Banking division and will focus on developing Rothschild’s Private
Banking business in the North of England.

James spent over 21 years in Rothschild’s Investment Bank, having joined as a graduate trainee
in 1986. He has worked with a wide range of clients on a variety of corporate finance transactions
and other corporate advisory assignments in both London and Leeds.

“We are delighted to welcome James to the Private Bank,” said Gary Powell, Head of
Rothschild’s UK Private Banking business. “One of Rothschild’s strategic objectives is to develop
our business by providing advice to entrepreneurs as they undergo liquidity events. James’s
considerable experience will be invaluable in this regard and as we continue to forge closer links
between our Private Banking and Investment Banking divisions in the UK.”

Gary Powell joined Rothschild’s Private Banking business from the Investment Banking division in
2006. He was appointed Head of the UK Private Banking business in October 2007.
